U.S. Healthcare Costs Are Skyrocketing

Healthcare costs are one of the most difficult challenges facing manufacturers. From 2004 through 2014, employer costs for employee healthcare increased 50%. To put this in perspective, overall producer prices for core finished goods (omitting food and energy) rose only 24% in this period; employer-provided healthcare costs are growing twice as fast as sales prices.
